(670 The Score) The Bulls have had discussions with the Warriors about moving up to the No. 2 pick in the NBA Draft on Wednesday evening, Kevin O’Connor of the Ringer reported.

In the scenario, Chicago would send the No. 4 pick and 21-year-old big man Wendell Carter Jr. to Golden State, O’Connor reported while characterizing the proposal as being on the table for the Warriors to accept or deny.

It’s not completely clear whom the Bulls have in mind to target in that potential deal. They’re in dire need of a playmaking point guard who uplifts others. That would make LaMelo Ball the logical target, but opposing league executives believe the Bulls would draft Memphis center James Wiseman if they finalized the deal with the Warriors, according to the report. Chicago would have a need at center should it part way with Carter, whom the Bulls selected at No. 7 overall in 2018 under the old John Paxson-Gar Forman regime.

Carter averaged 11.3 points, 9.4 rebounds and 0.8 blocks while shooting 53.4% from the field in 43 games last season.

The No. 4 pick is the Bulls’ highest selection since they drafted Derrick Rose at No. 1 overall in 2008.
