(670 The Score) The Cubs are bringing outfielder Cameron Maybin back on a minor league deal, according to multiple reports Friday night.
The deal includes an invite to big league camp, so the 33-year-old Maybin will get the chance to earn a roster spot as a reserve. The Cubs acquired Maybin from the Tigers in a trade last August. Maybin hit .250 with five RBIs in 18 games down the stretch for Chicago.
Maybin has a .256 batting average and .700 OPS across 14 MLB seasons.
