(670 The Score) Cubs manager David Ross didn’t have any big surprises in his lineup for the team’s playoff opener Wednesday afternoon.

Victor Caratini will serve as the Cubs’ designated hitter, while veteran Jason Kipnis got the nod at second base as Chicago hosts the Miami Marlins in Game 1 of their wild-card round series. Struggling Cubs shortstop Javier Baez will hit seventh, as he did in five of the final eight games of the regular season.

Cubs right-hander Kyle Hendricks will oppose Marlins right-hander Sandy Alcantara.
