Joe Buck's schedule is unreal next week

Broadcasting icon Joe Buck has his work cut out for himself over the next week.

Buck will call a major sporting event every day for Fox next week, as USA Today's Art Stapelton noted.

-- On Sunday, Buck and Troy Aikman will call America's Game of the Week, as Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers travel to Tampa Bay to face Tom Brady and the Buccaneers at 4:25 p.m. ET.

-- On Monday, Buck and Aikman will have a quick turnaround, calling the Kansas City Chiefs at Buffalo Bills matchup at 5 p.m. ET.

-- On Tuesday, Buck will have to shift gears entirely, calling Game 1 of the World Series on Fox. We don't yet know what two teams will be playing in the World Series, but the series will be played at the neutral site of Globe Life Field in Texas.

-- On Wednesday, Buck and Hall of Famer John Smoltz will call Game 2 of the World Series.

-- On Thursday, Buck will have the honor of calling an NFC East game on Thursday Night Football, with the Philadelphia Eagles set to host the New York Giants.

-- On Friday, Buck heads back to baseball, as the World Series resumes with Game 3.

-- On Saturday, Buck will call Game 4 of the World Series

Unless there's a sweep in the World Series, Buck will be back at it on Sunday, Oct. 25, when Game 5 is currently scheduled to be played.

While this is probably the most hectic week of Buck's broadcasting career, he's shown in the past that he's capable of managing an incredibly heavy workload. In October 2012, he called a San Francisco 49ers' regular-season game and a San Francisco Giants' playoff game on the same day.
