Malcolm Pridgen, a former Ohio State starter who spent part of last season on the Browns practice squad, became the fifth Brown to opt out of the season. His decision was announced Thursday afternoon, two hours before the 4 p.m. eastern deadline to do so.
Joe Bitonio and Wyatt Teller are the lone two natural players remaining on the roster at the position.
Guards Drew Forbes and Colby Gossett as well as offensive tackle Drake Dorbeck and defensive tackle Andrew Billings also opted out.
