CLEVELAND, Ohio (92.3 The Fan) – Awards season continued for the Browns Tuesday.

Left tackle Jedrick Wills Jr. and tight end Harrison Bryant were named to the All-Rookie team by the Pro Football Writers of America.

Wills, selected 10th overall by the Browns in the 2020 NFL Draft, started all 15 games he appeared in during the regular season playing 957 snaps. He committed 11 penalties and allowed just four sacks according to Pro Football Focus.

“I think Jed has all of the tools to be a really talented player in this league,” center JC Tretter said Monday. “He changed positions from college to the pros with not a lot of time to ramp up into that position. I think he did really well this year.”

Wills suffered an ankle injury on the first snap of Sunday’s 22-17 divisional round playoff loss at Kansas City but head coach Kevin Stefanski indicated that the injury was not serious but would require weeks of rehab.

Bryant started 9 of the 15 games he appeared in during the regular season where he caught 24 of 38 targets for 238 yards and 3 touchdowns.

On Monday Stefanski praised the contributions of Cleveland’s entire rookie class.

“Those rookies will not forget their rookie season, I promise you that,” Stefanski said. “One of them told me it was a blur, and I can definitely see that. There was a lot that went on. We did a lot of this over the computer, which is never easy for those guys. I thought they battled through it. A lot of them made contributions for us early in the season and then late in the season, as well.

“I am excited about those guys. They are not rookies anymore, and I am counting on them moving forward.”

On Monday, defensive end Myles Garrett, right tackle Jack Conklin and left guard Joel Bitonio were named to the All-NFL team in voting conducted by members of the PFWA. The trio along with running back Nick Chubb were also named to the All-AFC Team.

Garrett and Conklin were named to the AP All-Pro first team last week. Bitonio was named to the second team along with right guard Wyatt Teller.

Garrett, Bitonio and Chubb were named Pro Bowlers last month.
