DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - The injury woes for the Dallas Cowboys continued on Thursday, when they lost both All-Pro offensive lineman Zack Martin and reserve right tackle Cameron Flemming to lower leg injuries in the first quarter of their 41-16 loss to the Washington Football Team.
Neither player was able to return the game following their respective injuries, and on Friday morning, Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy confirmed the severity of issue for each player.
And now, according to McCarthy, both players are set to miss multiple weeks.
Martin, who was already dealing with calf issues, suffered a calf strain, while Flemming was lost due to an MCL sprain, giving him his second significant injury of the season to date.
In replacement of Martin and Flemming, Terence Steele and Adam Redmond took over for the final three quarters of Thursday's loss, and struggled against the elite Washington pass rush.
The Cowboys will have some time to figure out the new look of their offensive line following the loss of two more starters, as they are set to face the Baltimore Ravens next Thursday night.
