ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - The St. Louis Cardinals announced today that they have reached agreements on one-year contracts for the upcoming 2021 season with outfielder Harrison Bader and pitchers Jordan Hicks and Alex Reyes, avoiding salary arbitration.

The Cardinals didn't disclose the financial terms of the deals. But multiple reports say Bader signed for $2 million, Hicks will get $862,500 and Reyes gets $900,000.

The only player they haven't come to a deal with is their young ace Jack Flaherty. The team announced they will continue to exchange salary arbitration figures and they may still come to an agreement. If they don't, it will likely head to an arbitration hearing to decided Flaherty's 2021 salary with St. Louis.

Friday at noon was the deadline for all teams to exchange salary figures with arbitration-eligible players, in hopes of striking a deal. The Cardinals had only those four players in that category.

It's the first year of arbitration for all four of those players and Flaherty is expected to get the biggest raise.
