Before Craig Kimbrel appeared in three All-Star Games and won a World Series with the Boston Red Sox, he accumulated 186 saves for the Atlanta Braves. Now, as he approaches his 31st birthday and after spending four seasons away from Atlanta, he may be closer to returning home, if you believe buzz from around Major League Baseball.

Tuesday night, Gabe Burns, of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, joined The Bunker Mentality and said that the Braves have not had talks with Kimbrel. Apparently, the situation may be moving forward.
According to a source close to MLB, Paul Crane tweeted Wednesday that buzz from around the league seems to be leading toward the Braves and Kimbrel, at least, talking about a short-term deal to play in Atlanta for the 2019 season.

Word is.. rumblings about Craig Kimbrel + Braves for one year deal.. will update if and when hear more. @ScoutsHonorPod @929TheGame @knoxbardeen

While buzz is just buzz; nothing definitive has been announced, this report may do much for a beleaguered fan base axious for the Braves to make moves in this offseason.
