The Atlanta Falcons should be well rested coming off of a bye week. The good thing is that they will be playing a very familiar opponent, but the bad thing is they will be playing the New Orleans Saints.
Given all of the familiarity between these two teams, head coach Sean Payton looks like he wants to throw a wrinkle in the Falcons' preparation. With Drew Brees out, there have been several reports that Taysom Hill will start for the Saints on Sunday.
Tori McElhaney, of the Athletic, joined the Jon Chuckery show to talked about how the Falcons have had to prepare for two players with totally different styles of play. "I do get the sense that they were already prepping and planning and getting something together for whoever, of the two went out there" McElhaney said.
Most were under the impression that Jameis Winston would be the starter against the Falcons. Payton has always been the type of coach that wants to keep teams off balance on the field as a play-caller, but it seems he has accomplished his goal in the media with this news getting out.
We shall see on Sunday whether or not the Falcons will be effected by it.
