Justin Herbert, other Chargers staff and players evacuate homes due to wildfire

Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert and other staff and players were evacuated from their homes due to the Silverado fire in southern California, according to an NFL.com report on Tuesday.

Herbert had confirmed to The Dan Patrick Show on Tuesday morning that he currently was in a hotel due to the fire.

The Silverado Fire is now more than 12,000 acres and 5 percent contained Tuesday afternoon. Tens of thousands have evacuated since the fire began to burn Monday morning in Orange County.

Meanwhile, SoCal Edison says its equipment might have started Silverado Fire.

Nearby, the Blueridge Fire is burning more than 15,000 acres and 0 percent contained.

Meanwhile, the Chargers continue to assist those on the team who are displaced. There have also been no changes in preparation for the Chargers' next game on Sunday against the Denver Broncos in Denver, per NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.
