Protesters angry over Safer-at-Home order gather outside LA County Public Health Director Barbara Ferrer's home

There were angry protesters outside the home of Barbara Ferrer, LA County’s Director of Public Health, Sunday evening.

A few dozen people, some waving Trump Flags, very few wearing masks, yelled and chanted in front of Ferrer’s Echo Park home.

Some told KNX 1070 they were angry that the safer at home orders were hurting businesses, costing people jobs and feel the virus is not that dangerous.

Other public health experts, like Dr. Anthony Fauci, have also been targeted.

Anne Ramoin, a professor in the department of epidemiology at UCLA, says  “I think the people are tired, it’s very frustrating. It’s frustrating for everybody. The number of cases continue to increase...people want to get back to their lives and we just can’t right now. It’s just not possible.”

There was a large LAPD presence at Ferrer’s home, preventing the protesters from going on her property.
