PITTSBURGH (93.7 the Fan) – Often it’s a harbinger of bad news, but the Steelers injury report on Thursday was mostly a clean sheet.
Mason Rudolph (concussion), Roosevelt Nix (knee), Mark Barron (hamstring), Jaylen Samuels (knee), James Washington (shoulder), Mike Hilton (calf), Steve Nelson (groin), Vance McDonald (shoulder) and Joe Haden (groin) all went full at practice.
While T.J. Watt (abdomen) was limited and JuJu Smith-Schuster (illness) did not practice.
It had been a while since only two players missed practice time and the team has an extra day for Watt and Smith-Schuster to heal with the Monday night game against Miami.
“I hope so, we haven’t had him in pads yet,” defensive coordinator Keith Butler said when asked if he thought Watt would play. “I’ve had that injury before it’s usually a pretty quick healer.”
“It’s not a fun injury, but knowing him, he will want to play against this team.”
