PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) - Following the Penguins' Game 2 victory against the Montreal Canadiens on Monday night, Colin Dunlap and Chris Mack discussed goaltender Matt Murray's stellar performance on The Fan Morning Show.

Murray saved 26 shots last night, and paved the way for the Penguins to tie up the series with a 3-1 win. Colin says he was the best players on the ice betwenen both squads Monday night, and reminded him of the goalie that won two Stanley Cups.

"Matt Murray jumped up and showed us his form that he had during the Cup runs," Colin said. "That was reminiscent. For the first time since the Cup runs, he showed that Matt Murray. That it's okay for him to be the best player on the ice, and for me, he was."

While many believed Tristan Jarry should have started in net for Game 1 against the Canadiens, those cries grew louder after the Pens fell 3-2 in overtime. After his strong showing last night, the guys believe Murray has put the goalie controversy to rest for now. Chris says the next question is if his quality play can continue.

"He came up huge. And again, this is his net now for the time being," Chris said. "And the question will be, does the response continue."
