PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) -- Children are our future—and they are Mother Nature’s future too.
What better way to educate the next generation on how to live a sustainable lifestyle than to learn about it while in the classroom?
Sustainable Pittsburgh will be offering a ‘Sustainability 101: What are the components of a green and healthy school’ workshop on December 10th to educate teachers, administrations, and parents on what our local schools can do to teach children how to be eco-friendly.
The Green Building Alliance workshop will discuss the building blocks for creating a healthy school—like school gardening and healthy supplies for the classroom—as well as what other schools are doing that are working to build a sustainable future!
The workshop is from 8:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 10th at the Frick Environmental Center and will cost $15.00.
