PITTSBURGH (93.7 The FAN) - It was a year ago this time that Devin Bush was sitting at home waiting to see when his name would be called on the first day of the NFL Draft.

He joined The PM Team with Andrew Fillipponi and Chris Mueller to tell us what it was like for him and what the players in this years draft are going through just hours before the start of the first round.

"It was hard to go to sleep the night before," Devin admitted."

He said there were a number of questions running through his mind the day of the draft.

"Who is gonna pick me?  Where am I gonna be and how is this gonna happen?  I could be way on the west coast.  I could be on the east coast.  I could be in the south.  I could be in the mid-west.  There's just a whole bunch of things going through you mind."

So what was his reaction when he saw the Pittsburgh area code on his phone and then heard Mike Tomlin's voice telling him the Steelers selected him?

"Thank God."

The Steelers don't have a first round pick this year, instead they have an All-Pro Minkah Fitzpatrick who they used that pick on last year and Devin tells us what a difference maker he has been for this team.

"When Minkah came in, it was just an instant spark.  It was an instant upgrade," Bush told us.  He added that he bring "confidence" to this group and is "the complete package."
