Pittsburgh Pirates Schedule Announced


PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) - Baseball season is almost here! 

After a long delay to the start of the season due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Pirates released their 60-game regular season schedule for the 2020 season.

The Pirates season opener is set for Friday, July 24th against the Cardinals in St. Louis at 8:15 p.m.

Following a three-game series in St. Louis, the Pirates will return to Pittsburgh for their home opener against the Milwaukee Brewers on Monday, July 27th at 7:05 p.m.

The Pirates’ Interleague schedule will have home games against each club from the American League Central division except for the Kansas City Royals. The two teams will play one another in a three-game series at Kauffman Stadium.

Pirates manager Derek Shelton said that he remains optimistic that the season will begin on time and can be completed on schedule.

"I'm staying optimistic, but I'm also staying day-to-day.  Every day is a day of adjustments, both for the Pirates and industry-wide."
