Penguins Make Two Player Minor League Trade With Montreal

PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) - The Penguins have made a minor league deal with the Montreal Canadiens.

The Pens get forward and Pittsburgh native Riley Barber and forward Phil Varone from Montreal,

The Canadiens get Joseph Blandisi and Jake Lucchini.

Barber and Varone will go to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins.

The 26-year-old Barber has played nine games in the NHL this season and has 13 goals and 18 assists in the AHL with the Laval Rockets.

The 29-year-old Varone has spent the entire season in Laval playing 27 games and has four goals and 10 assists
