Phillip Evans On 45-Day IL, Other Roster Moves Made By Pirates

PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) After a nasty collision with Gregory Polanco on Saturday, the Pittsburgh Pirates have placed infielder Phillip Evans on the 45-day injured list.

Evans suffered a concussion and a fractured jaw following his collision with Polanco.

The Pirates have Jose Osuna from the club’s alternate training site.

Pitcher Nick Mears has been optioned to the club’s alternate training site, and pitcher Brandon Waddell has been brought onto the major league roster.

Waddell was added to the 60-man player pool on Friday and will wear the No. 68.
