(93.7 The Fan) - After 10 days as a Patriot and playing one game, Antonio Brown has been released by New England.

The Patriots released the following statement on Friday:

“The New England Patriots are releasing Antonio Brown. We appreciate the hard work of many people over the past 11 days, but we feel that it is best to move in a different direction at this time.”

Brown is facing a federal lawsuit from a former trainer of his that claims he sexually assaulted her.

Another woman has come forward recently claiming Brown assaulted her.

The Allegheny County District Attorney’s Office has said an investigation into the first allegation is unlikely due to the statute of limitations.
Sports Illustrated reported that Brown sent the second woman intimidating text messages.
According to Brown's agent Drew Rosenhaus, AB isn't done yet in the NFL.

It's unfortunate things didn't work out with the Patriots. But Antonio is healthy and is looking forward to his next opportunity in the NFL. He wants to play the game he loves and he hopes to play for another team soon.
