Banged up Browns may only have one QB available Sunday

If Mayfield can't go, its all up to Keenum

The 4-1 Browns will be pretty banged up when they come to Heinz Field on Sunday.

On Friday, Cleveland announced guard Wyatt Teller, safety Ronnie Harrison, safety Karl Joseph and linebacker Jacob Phillips are all out for the game.

In addition six players are questionable including wide receiver Odell Beckham, Jr. (non-COVID related illness) and quarterback Baker Mayfield (ribs).

While Mayfield has been limited, he is still practicing but there is a chance he might not start. If that happens the Browns could be in a dire situation at quarterback.

Due to COVID-19 protocols in the NFL former New York Giants backup QB, who was signed to the Browns practice squad, won’t be available in time for Sunday’s game. The NFL requires six days of testing before a new player can enter team facilities.

That would leave Case Keenum as their only available quarterback.

Also questionable for the Browns are punter Jamie Gillan, receiver Jarvis Landry, defensive tackle Larry Ogunjobi and defensive end Olivier Vernon.
