PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – Some new injuries for the Steelers as they held their first practice of Denver week on Wednesday.

Defensive end Stephon Tuitt couldn’t go with an Achilles injury and receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster wasn’t able to practice because of a knee injury.

The three injured Monday night did not go—offensive tackle Zach Banner is likely out for the year, but not yet officially by the team. Guard Stefen Wisniewski with a chest injury and tailback James Conner due to an ankle injury didn’t practice.

Diontae Johnson missed practice last week with a toe injury and missed again on Wednesday.  Alejandro Villanueva was out sick, which in a normal year wouldn’t mean much, however we will see what Thursday brings.

Maurkice Pouncey and Ben Roethlisberger were given veteran days off.

“I’m definitely sore,” Roethlisberger said.  “The good news is my arm is the only thing that doesn’t hurt.”
