Several Giants players were absent from the team's facility on Thursday after one tested positive for COVID-19 on Wednesday night, the team announced.
The team didn't specify which player tested positive, but an NFL Network report said multiple offensive linemen were quarantined while contact tracing was being performed.
The isolation measures had left the Giants with only four active offensive linemen, according to Tom Pelissero.
The quarantined players were partaking in team meetings remotely, the Giants said.
With the affected players not present at practice, the team was proceeding with its usual routine at its training complex in East Rutherford, N.J., according to Mike Garafolo.
The team said it was working with league medical officials on how to proceed.
This is a developing story.
