Penguins officially release 'Reverse Retro' jersey

The diagonal 'Pittsburgh' is back for the first time in over 20 years

After weeks of rumors and hints, the Penguins retro jersey has officially been released.

The “reverse retro” jersey brings back the diagonal “Pittsburgh” text for the first time since 1997.

All NHL teams for the first time ever, will have an alternate jersey for the 2020-21 season.

The Penguins jersey from Adidas, also features two Penguins logos on the shoulders.

The original diagonal jerseys were primarily black and were worn between 1992-1997.

When the Penguins will wear the new jerseys will be released at a later date.
