PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) — The Pirates dropped their 2021 spring training schedule on Wednesday.
Their Grapefruit League schedule has them slated to play in 33 games.
17 of those games will be played at home at the Bradenton, Florida LECOM Park.
And Opening Day for the spring schedule will kick things off on February 27, 2021.
The Pirates will be taking on the Boston Red Sox.
Then things will carry over to February 28, as the Pirates move on from Fort Myers to Bradenton to take on the Braves in the Bucs’ home-opener.
Next up is the Tampa Bay Rays, which is scheduled for March 1.
Then the Toronto Blue Jays are scheduled for March 2.
The Grapefruit League schedule will run through most of March, with the Pirates’ final game being played on the month’s penultimate day against the Twins.
And two days later, on April 1, the Pirates will officially start their regular season at Chicago versus the Cubs.
