This hate toward JuJu doesn't make sense

Some fans waiting for the shoe to drop with the Steelers WR, it's not happening

JuJu Smith-Schuster can’t win.

Yesterday the wide receiver had only two catches for six yards in the Steelers 38-7 blowout of the Browns.

While that’s the by far the lowest amount of yards for him this season, he continues to celebrate with his teammates and appears to just be happy winning.

But that isn’t good enough for some people. Smith-Schuster was criticized for celebrating with James Washington and on the sidelines, even though his numbers were not worthy of celebration.

While those numbers are not impressive, isn’t he still allowed to be able to celebrate a team win.

He has 23 catches this season and three touchdowns but is in every play, doing little things to help the Steelers move the ball.

His presence on the field still draws attention. Fellow receiver James Washington says Smith-Schuster does a lot to help draw attention away from other receivers. “Just because of the resume that’s he’s built over the years, I feel like he will never go into a game unnoticed, so I feel like people defiantly key him and when that happens you know, us other guys we just have to capitalize our opportunities and make stuff happen for the offense.”

Years ago, fans were afraid JuJu would turn into AB, complaining when he didn’t get the ball, throwing a tantrum on the sidelines, but the opposite is happening, and yet people are still complaining.

Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger said last week how proud he was of Smith-Schuster after Chase Claypool's big 4 TD day.

It doesn’t’ make any sense. Coach Mike Tomlin has even said “the strength of the pack, is the pack.”

Last week it was Chase Claypool, this week it was Washington. Smith-Schuster could very well have his breakout game in the next week or two.

While JuJu does have a contract coming up, he continues to play for the team and not for himself and that is something that should be celebrated, not criticized.

Some in the Steelers fan base continue to wait for Smith-Schuster to turn negative. It hasn’t happened the first five weeks of the season, it’s not going to happen anytime soon.

His TikTok videos and dancing may annoy you…for some reason, but he’s not a bad football player like some have suggested, even saying the Steelers should trade him.

If his numbers are not helping your fantasy team, too bad, the Steelers are 5-0 for the first time in over 40 years, and part of that is thanks to JuJu.
