PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – They could be warming up for a huge January matchup as Steelers outside linebacker TJ Watt and Kansas City quarterback Patrick Mahomes were named the AFC Defensive and Offensive Players of the Month.

The award comes a day after finding out Bud Dupree is out for the season as Watt had 5.5 sacks, 18 tackles, five tackles for loss, 17 quarterback hits and three passes defended as the Steelers, obviously, won all of those games, a pair against the Ravens.

Mahomes and the Chiefs were also perfect in November.   The 25-year-old threw for 399.5 yards per game (1,598 yards total), 14 touchdowns and one interception.

The 11-0 Steelers host Washington on Monday afternoon.  The 10-1 Chiefs  host the Broncos Sunday night.
