The Baltimore Ravens have disciplined a staff member linked with the spread of COVID-19 within the organization and the subsequent postponement of the Ravens v. Steelers Thanksgiving night game.
This comes from an official statement made by the Ravens, which did not give much detail to the situation.
NFL Network reporter Tom Pelissero gave some extra detail to the situation stating that the staff member in question was a strength and conditioning coach who failed to report his COVID-19 symptoms.
Pelissero also made note that the same staff member was inconsistent with wearing his mask and tracking device.
With the Ravens proactively disciplining their coach, its possible the team will avoid any sort of punishment from the NFL regarding their internal spread of COVID-19.
The NFL stated that the movement of the Ravens v. Steelers game was made out of an “abundance of caution,” but with recent reports it seems the whole situation could have been prevented.
There is yet to be any sort of punishment or release from the NFL regarding the COVID-19 situation within the Ravens organization.
