OPINION: The stuff of nightmares: Browns/Ravens AFC Championship possible

Last Sunday and Monday morning were a big punch to the gut for Steelers fans, being dumped from the playoffs by the Cleveland Browns, who were playing their first playoff game since 2002.

And while it is a worse-case scenario for fans, next Monday morning could be another dark one for Steeler Nation.

While the Chiefs are heavily favorite (-10) over the Browns, The Bills are only a -2.5 favorite over the Baltimore Ravens.

Both the Ravens and the Browns have been on roll lately, so there is a possibility, albeit outside, that the Browns and Ravens could be in the AFC Championship game. Can you believe it!?

The thought of it sends a shiver down the backs of Steelers fans everywhere.

Lamar Jackson vs. Baker Mayfield in the biggest game for the AFC, after the Steelers started 11-0.

While that is the worst scenarios for Steelers fans there are a few other scenarios that are less than ideal.

If Kansas City and Tampa Bay win out, it would be running back Le’Veon Bell vs. receiver Antonio Brown, who of course are remembered for their tumultuous ends in Pittsburgh.

Steeler fans probably don’t want to see either of those players go to the Super Bowl.

So go Bills? Saints?
