Our state has been well known for a lot of things, from Boeing to Starbucks to Amazon. But the latest buzz from Washington is about . . . murder hornets!
Remember 2020? Of course you do. Just as we were getting used to the idea of a global pandemic, nature threw us a curveball: Asian giant hornets, aka murder hornets, were discovered up in Whatcom County. Just what we needed.
A quick-thinking film production company recognized the entertainment potential of these creepy creatures, and a crew spent six weeks in 2020 documenting the work of the Washington State Department of Agriculture. Now the documentary is streaming on Discovery+.
Looks good, right?
