Since 2010, Rochester, New York based band Joywave has held a mirror to society with their music, creating a distinct approach to pop music reflecting our own modern lives. Joywave's approach to pop music has clearly resonated with a wide audience. Their 2013 single "Big Data" received RIAA gold certification, and their 2017 studio album Content debuted within the top 10 on Billboard's "Heatseekers" chart.
