All aboard for one of the coolest music videos you’ve seen in a longtime.
It’s one of the most recognizable songs in music and part of one of Rock’s great albums. Now, it’s got a brand new video to celebrate its 40th anniversary.
As part of the 40th anniversary celebration of Ozzy Osbourne’s debut solo album Blizzard Of Ozz, the Prince of Darkness has released an animated music video of the record’s hit song “Crazy Train.”
The video starts out with Ozzy’s trademark iconography before it transitions to a pencil-like animation of his band performing the song. Following the guitar solo, a lovely tribute to Randy Rhoads took place as the guitarist was seemingly elevated up to heaven with his bandmates looking on.
Rhoads, along with Osbourne and bassist Bob Daisley were responsible for writing much of the album and his inclusion in the video serves as a nice tribute on its 40th anniversary.
The music video is the latest in the line of Blizzard Of Ozz’s 40th anniversary material. Earlier this week, a special anniversary edition of the album was announced featuring previously unheard material.
The original album will be a part of the package, but it will also feature several bonus tracks, seven never before heard live recordings, and two concert films that will be available digitally for the first time.
Alongside “Crazy Train,” Blizzard Of Ozz featured Ozzy classics like “Mr. Crowley” and “Suicide Solution.” The digital 40th anniversary edition is available now.
