Pasadena is now vaccinating residents 75 and older

Pasadena is now vaccinating residents 75 and older.

Lisa Derderian with the city tells KNX 1070 News appointments for today's vaccinations were gone within hours after appointments were made available for the event today at Victory Park.

"We have people who have been lining up since 6 a.m. some coming from San Bernardino County so unfortunately, we need to turn them down as this is specific to the city of Pasadena and we need to follow the tiers according to the state. And we only have a certain amount of vaccine so it has to be reserved for those that qualify in this group," she says.

The next round of vaccinations in the city for people 75 and older will be at the park again on Thursday.

Derderian says people have to make appointments through the city's website or by calling 3-1-1.
