After years of venturing through Western Mass doling out prizes as Dina McMahon in the Van (yup, people still call me that), I turned in the keys to the prize van for a chair inside the studio with the morning crew doing Dina’s Dirt reports. I grew up in the Springfield area and get to relive my childhood all over again through my awesome kids, Morgan and Quinn, with my wonderful husband, Gary, along with our pup, the infamous Crazy Daisy. All of them still love me despite the fact I can’t cook anything worth eating. No, seriously, even the neighborhood animals won’t touch the stuff I throw out.
I’ve had a secret passion (okay, so maybe it’s a very public passion) for shoes since I was a little kid. From what my mom says, when I was a toddler, I would wake up in the middle of the night and demand a new dress, new shoes, and a new “pockey-book.” I don’t know how they ever got me back to sleep.
The number one question people ask me about my job is, “How do you get up so early?” Besides multiple alarm clocks, knowing that every day I get to come in and do something I love, connect with our longtime listeners and meet new ones, and help out in the community, makes it easier and so worth it.
I’d like to take a second here to thank you for listening and for your continued support over the years, especially those of you who have tried my cooking – and survived!

What’s In Dina’s Closet (besides way too many shoes)?
Favorite Num Nums
Pretty much anything covered in chocolate (except that which has legs), garlic, creme brulee, key lime pie. Yes, I realize those are mostly sweets….
Movies I Watch Every Time They're On (Despite My Family's Protests)
Dirty Dancing, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, Bad Moms, Disney’s Beauty & the Beast, The Devil Wears Prada, White Chicks, 21 Jump Street, 22 Jump Street, Sixteen Candles.
Books & Graphic Novels I'm Currently Working My Way Through
House of Night, The Walking Dead, and The Morganville Vampires. I'm waiting on George R.R. Martin to come out with the next Game of Thrones novel, so if I die before that happens, make sure someone leaves a copy on my grave.
TV Shows I Find Binge-worthy
The Wilds, The Queen's Gambit, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, This is Us, The Handmaid’s Tale, Outlander, Younger, Vikings, Love It or List It, Halloween Baking Championship, and Halloween Wars. I've already got plans in my head for a build-out on my house that I know I could do all by myself in a week, and we'll celebrate with a 3ft Franken-cake I feel I'm now qualified to bake.
Songs I'm Loving Anytime
Eastside by Halsey, Kalid, & Benny Blanco, Senorita by Shawn Mendes & Camila Cabello, Dancing With A Stranger by Sam Smith & Normani, Meant To Be by Bebe Rexha & Florida Georgia Line, Don't Let Me Down by Chainsmokers & Daya, Broken by Lovelytheband, Sit Next To Me by Foster the People, Wish I Knew You by The Revivalists, Crash by Dave Matthews, Africa by Toto, Down Under by Men at Work, and Let Me Clear My Throat by DJ Kool…notice Baby Shark does not make the cut.
Celebrities I'd Like To Be Stuck With In An Elevator For Hours
I have been stuck in an elevator before, so it would be nice to have some company. My top 5, in no particular order – Shemar Moore, Ryan Reynolds, Shawn Wayans, Keanu Reeves, and honestly, #5 rotates on a daily basis (today it’s Jason Momoa, tomorrow it’s Justin Hartley)! Maybe I should make this a Top 10 - I'd hate for Dwayne Johnson to feel left out...
Stale and rancid Pepperidge Farms Goldfish I keep forgetting to throw out, multiple dust bunnies (low maintenance pets), and our dog, Crazy Daisy.
Other Stuff I Wish I Had More Time To Do
Sleeping (because I never get much of it), reading on the beach, and volleyball (I’m not good at it, but I have fun).
As Close To Sports As I Get
Does Zumba count as a sport? Otherwise, we can call Closet Organizing a sport (I can break a serious sweat).
