Could this year finally be the one Andy Reid gets off the Super Bowl schneid?

The longtime Eagles head coach, now with the Chiefs, will play in his 7th Championship game this weekend. Reid is 1-4 in NFC Championship games with the Eagles and 0-1 in AFC Championship games with the Chiefs.

The 61-year-old head coach, despite never winning the Super Bowl, is one of the most accomplished head coaches in the NFL. Reid has a career record of 220–142–1 (.607). In 21 seasons as an NFL head coach, Reid's teams have missed the postseason just six times. This weekend, Kansas City erased a 24-0 deficit to beat the Texans 51-31 in the AFC Divisional playoffs.

Reid's assistants like John Harbaugh, Matt Nagy, Ron Rivera, and of course Doug Pederson, have gone on to have tremendous success of their own as head coaches in the NFL.

Ultimately, Reid fell short of winning a Super Bowl in Philadelphia, casting him a somewhat polarizing status among Eagles fans. So the question becomes, are you rooting for Reid to win his first Super Bowl?

Of course, the majority of Eagles fans probably are, as Reid did a ton for the city despite never winning it all. He put together the most successful pro football of the decade, other than the Patriots, while he was year. He also groomed Pederson and helped him land the job in Philly, giving Reid a tiny role in the Eagles' Super Bowl LII victory.

The Chiefs are the current Super Bowl favorites at 11-10, according to Caesars Sportsbook on Monday via ESPN.com

I think it's safe to say that Philadelphia's horse in this year's NFL postseason race is Andy Reid and his Chiefs.
