Philadelphia Eagles right tackle Lane Johnson posted a cryptic tweet Friday afternoon, a day after the team reportedly traded Carson Wentz to the Indianapolis Colts.
Without adding any of his own commentary, Johnson tweeted a GIF from the 2015 Kendrick Lamar song "Alright," leaving you to draw your own conclusion about how the trade made him feel:
On one hand, Johnson's tweet may be as simple as trying to send out a positive message as the Eagles move onto a new era. The song is supposed to be an uplifting song during a time of struggle. Lamar is referring to another - much more important - fight. But the Eagles future looks about as bleak as it has in 20 years, and Johnson probably just sent this tweet out trying to cheer up Eagles fans.
On the other hand, if you don't know the context of the song, the specific tweet looks like a celebration. Johnson, a former All-Pro, has spoken highly of Wentz publicly, though there will certainly be some that interpret this as a sign that there are some in the Eagles locker room happy to be moving on from the polarizing quarterback.
