Not even Michael Irvin is picking the Cowboys to beat the Eagles on Sunday. In fact, the Hall Of Fame wide receiver has completely lost faith in his former team, calling them the worst in the NFL.
"That's the worst football team in the National Football League, right now," Irvin told Angelo Cataldi on Thursday's 94WIP Morning Show. "And I don't see anyway right now that it's going to get any better.
"I'm not picking the Cowboys. Do you know how much that hurts me? Do you know how much that hurts me, man? Let's be real here and right now—this is what I'm trying to do—I just gotta win something. I'm not going to win [the game] on Sunday, so I'm trying to win the picks on the show. I gotta win something now. You can't have me on a lose-lose. I'm gonna lose on Sunday and lose on the picks? No! I gotta try to win something, so now I gotta go with what I know."
The 2-5 Dallas Cowboys have lost two games in a row. They also lost their starting QB Dak Prescott for the season and now backup QB Andy Dalton is dealing with a concussion that could keep him out of Sunday's game against the Eagles.
Also, the Cowboys parted ways with three notable defensive players this week, trading Everson Griffen to the Lions and releasing Daryl Worley and Dontari Poe.
The Eagles are 9.5 point favorites over the Cowboys on Sunday Night, per VegasInsider.com.
