Trent Williams joined the media on Thursday via a Zoom conference call to discuss the deal that sent him to his preferred destination, San Francisco.

The seven-time Pro Bowler worked with Kyle Shanahan in Washington and he's excited to be reunited.

Williams also said he doesn't think he'll have a difficult time adjusting to the 49ers offense:

"I feel like I know this offense like the back of my hand," Williams said.

Shortly after the 49ers traded for Williams, Joe Staley announced his retirement from the NFL.

"Joe is an outstanding player, a Hall of Famer," Williams said. "You don't replace a guy like Joe. You just kind of learn to live without him and hopefully I can make that a little easier."

Respect.
