Kerr says Cousins is ‘ahead’ of KD in his recovery process

The day after Warriors basketball boss Bob Myers said Kevin Durant won’t even be taking the trip to Portland for Games 3 and 4, head coach Steve Kerr offered a further update before the club took flight on Friday afternoon.

Kerr didn’t just discuss the process of Durant (right calf strain) but also DeMarcus Cousins (torn left quad).

“He’s working really hard," Kerr told reporters. "He’s been in the training room religiously over the last month and now he’s getting out on the court."

“He is ahead of Kevin in terms of the ability to get out on the court and run and really get a good basketball workout.”

Cousins is ahead of Durant but has also been rehabbing much longer. Boogie went out on April 15. Durant, in turn, was sidelined on
