The marriage between Cardi B and Offset is reportedly coming to an end.
According to court records uncovered by attorney Adrienne Lawrence, the couple filed for divorce in Fulton County, Georgia. A hearing is scheduled for November 4, 2020.
Cardi B and Offset began dating in early 2017 and were secretly married later that year. The couple’s wedding was held in private in their bedroom as Cardi wore a white and gold set of leggings with a matching hoodie and Offset wore jeans with a black jacket.
Nearly a year after their wedding, Cardi finally took to social media to share a photo from the event.
The couple welcomed their first child together, Kulture Kiari Cephus, in July, 2018. While the couple publicly announced Cardi’s pregnancy in April, 2018, it wasn’t until the “Bodak Yellow” singer took to Instagram that July that the world found out she had given birth.
Their relationship wasn’t without troubles though as the two broke up for a period of time back in December, 2018. In a now deleted Instagram video, she said "So, everybody been bugging me and everything. And you know, I been trying to work things out with my baby father for a hot minute now.”
"And we're really good friends and you know we're really good business partners and you know, he's always somebody that I run to, to talk to and we got a lot of love for each other, but things just haven't been working out between us for a long time," she added.
The couple rekindled their relationship as Cardi recently gifted Offset $500,000 for his birthday.
Offset was moved by the moment telling Cardi “you don’t got to give me this money.”
“I know I do got to give you the money but I don’t know what to give you, so I suppose I gotta give you something,” she responded with a laugh. “You can buy a car, you can buy more clothes,” she adds. “You can buy me more Birkin bags.”
