ST. LOUIS (KFTK) - Police announced on Tuesday that a man has been arrested and arrested and charged with assault for an incident that happened during protests of the King Louis IX statue in Forest Park.

Terrance Page, 34, is now in custody and charged with four counts of fourth-degree assault.

On June 27, police say Page repeatedly slapped the head of a man there in support of the statue on Art Hill.

The statue has been the site of clashes between protesters who want it removed because of King Louis' crusades against Muslims and anti-semitic views, and supporters who want it to stay feel it's an iconic part of St. Louis history.
