CA law could expand ‘gun violence restraining orders’

Currently, under California law, family members and law enforcement can seek a court order that temporarily takes guns out of the hands of someone believed to be a risk to themselves or others.

A new ‘Red Flag Gun’ law has been introduced that would expand the pool of people who could make the request to include co-works and school officials.
