Republican lawmakers in Jefferson City are pushing to make January 12, the late Rush Limbaugh’s birthday, “Rush Limbaugh Day” in Missouri.

Rep. Hardy Billington (R – Dist. 152) filed the legislation.

Limbaugh, a Cape Girardeau native, passed away at the age of 70 after a battle with lung cancer.

Jeff City insider, Rodney Boyd, is fairly confident that the legislation will pass through the House but the Senate will be the chamber to watch.
