The Detroit Lions and the playoffs don't go together like peanut butter and jelly. It's more like a peanut butter and onion sandwich.

In fact, as you all know the Detroit Lions haven't made the playoffs since 2016. Can they make the playoffs with Matt Patricia as their head coach?

Many fans would say there isn't a chance.

There are some very respected NFL analysts who believe the Lions will indeed make the playoffs this season.

It all started with a tweet from NFL Network's Marc Sessler, "Plagued by a strange feeling: The Detroit @Lions are making the playoffs."

ESPN NFL analyst Mina Kimes then jumped in the coversation, "I’m beginning to worry that they’re our new chargers.

It's not only Kimes and Sessler that feel that type of way about the Lions.

Former NFL offensive lineman and current radio host Geoff Schwartz also believes the Lions are going to make the playoffs this season as well.

Almost every season there’s a worst to first team. The Lions are my pick. Am I crazy?
