97.1 The Ticket -- Former Lions cornerback Darius Slay has never been accused of being shy.
Wednesday night Slay took to Twitter urging the Lions to "hurry it up" with his trade process after the team signed former Falcons CB Desmond Trufant.
Now that he's been traded to the Eagles and signed a new three-year deal making him the highest paid corner in the NFL, Slay has spoken out about Lions coach Matt Patricia.

Speaking on The Mitch Albom Show late Thursday afternoon, Slay said he didn't respect Patricia as a person, even before the team traded Quandre Diggs to the Seahawks last fall.

Slay said he wanted to stay in Detroit for a while, but he knew with his rocky relationship with Patricia, it was time to move on.

Slay on WJR said he didn't respect Matt Patricia as a person even before the Diggs trade.I knew the relationship wasn't great, but Slay isn't holding back.

Darius Slay, asked by WJR about the Quandre Diggs trade: "At that time, I didn’t really care really, because I ain’t have that much respect for Matty P as a person, because it was hard for me to play for him. That’s all it was."
