Speaking on The Mitch Albom Show late Thursday afternoon, Slay said he didn't respect Patricia as a person, even before the team traded Quandre Diggs to the Seahawks last fall.
Slay said he wanted to stay in Detroit for a while, but he knew with his rocky relationship with Patricia, it was time to move on.
