Steelers linebacker Bud Dupree is likely out for the remainder of the season with an ACL injury, leaving the Steelers a big hole to fill and one former Steeler floated a strange, yet intriguing idea.
Retired Steelers quarterback Charlie Batch said on Wednesday evening the Steelers could consider retired linebacker James Harrison.
While Harrison is 42, he is in incredible shape, as seen in on his Instagram post.
93.7 The Fan Morning Show co-host Colin Dunlap says that Harrison knows the Steelers system and with limited snaps could get after the quarterback.
Other co-host Chris Mack isn’t as optimistic saying “This ain’t a FanDuel commercial, dude.”
Harrison last played in 2017. After being released by the Steelers went on to play for the New England Patriots.
Spending 15 season in the NFL, that began as an undrafted free agent, Harrison is a five-time Pro-Bowler, two-time All Pro, two-time Super Bowl champion and was the 2008 Defensive Player of the Year.
