County of San Diego Health and Human Services Agency – It’s Up To Us -- The "It’s Up to Us" campaign is designed to empower San Diegans to talk openly about mental illness, recognize symptoms, utilize local resources and seek help. By raising awareness and providing access to local resources, we aim to inspire wellness, reduce stigma and prevent suicide. Recovery is possible, and help is available. It’s Up to Us to make a difference in the lives of San Diegans experiencing mental health challenges by offering support and providing opportunities.

Neighborhood House -- A San Diego resource featuring a range of programs, including Head Start, nutrition programs, HIV/AIDS case management, mental health services, adult day health care and youth services. 858-715-2642

National Alliance on Mental Illness San Diego (NAMI) -- A community hub for information, support and advocacy for mental illness. Features support helpline, support groups, educational meetings and newsletters, all focused on helping people with mental illness and ending the stigma around mental illness. 1-800-523-5933

Jewish Family Service: A community resource for all San Diegans, offering a wide range of integrated services including Foodmobile, Hand up Food Pantry, Transportation Programs, mental health case management, senior and youth services, and immigrant and refugee assistance. 858-637-3210

211: San Diego County resource and information hub that connects people with community, health and disaster services. Information is available 24/7 through a stigma-free/confidential phone service as well as a searchable database. Dial 211 or 858-300-1211 from any phone.

Senior Care Dreamstime

Serving Seniors -- San Diego-based nonprofit providing impactful programs and services to older adults, helping seniors remain healthy and independent. Serving Seniors also runs the Gary Mary West Senior Wellness Center, a senior center downtown featuring multiple services, including free lunch, case management services and dental care. 619-235-6538

Disabilities and Other Needs

Arc of San Diego -- Comprehensive service provider for people with disabilities. Provides support to children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities such as autism, cerebral palsy and Down syndrome. 619-685-1175

La Maestra Community Health Centers -- Provides quality health care and education to culturally and linguistically diverse communities. Specializes in behavioral and mental health, disease management and family support. Locations in City Heights, El Cajon, National City and Lemon Grove.

Union of Pan Asian Communities (UPAC) -- Provider of culturally sensitive services that increase the health, social and economic self-sufficiency of Asian, Pacific Islander and other ethnic communities in San Diego.
