San Diego Zoo welcomes you back to wonder! The San Diego Zoo is now open again, after the longest closure in its history, and they are thrilled to welcome you back. Every time you visit, you’re supporting their conservation mission and helping create a world where species can thrive.
The Zoo has kept wildlife safe for over 100 years; it is what they do every day, and you can count on them to keep you safe too. They’ve taken steps to ensure that you can feel comfortable visiting them. The safety and well-being of their guests, team members, and wildlife are their top priorities. The Zoo is operating with limited attendance, hosting less than half their usual number of guests on grounds at any given time. Guests are encouraged to purchase tickets online prior to arrival to minimize time spent waiting at the front entrance. Guests are asked to keep 6 feet between your party and others; signage throughout the Zoo is provided as guidance. Face coverings are required for all guests ages 2 and older. Hand sanitizing stations have been placed throughout the grounds, allowing for frequent washing of hands with soap and water.
