Antonio Brown met with the media for the first time as a member of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Wednesday.
The troubled wide receiver said getting back on track is what he's looking to do.
“I’ve been spending a lot of time, working on myself, being resilient," he said. "Even when times got hard, staying in shape, not listening to the naysayers, good people around me to stay encouraged. I tried to check every box to make sure I was ready to go.”
Brown was also very complimentary of Tom Brady, who he is staying with.
"Tom is my boy," he said. "One of the greatest leaders to be around. ... He's been a great guy in my corner and one of my close friends."
Brown also noted the influence philanthropist Tony Robbins has had on his life in recent weeks by helping him focus on the positives. Brady was the one who hooked the two up.
It's unclear exactly how much playing time Brown will get Sunday against the Saints, but he likely will be active.
