Bob Geldof is the founder and lead singer of The Boomtown Rats. He is also the creator and producer of the massive 1985 benefit concert Live Aid and he is the writer and producer of one of the most successful singles of all time - Band Aid's "Do They Know It's Christmas". Geldof has devoted much of the past 40 years to charitable work around the globe but recently he and his band returned to the recording studio. The result is the new album "Citizens of Boomtown", The Boomtown Rats first new album in over 36 years! Dave O'Brien talked with Bob Geldof about the album, the band, his activism, Bob Dylan, Bono and what inspired him to get back to music.
